I have a set of, believe it or not, 14" Oldsmobile rims on a project car that I am working on with P235/60R/14 tires on them. I am going to be picking up 7 inch wide Buick Rally wheels today from a post I came across. I am not sure if the rims I currently have on the car now are 7 inches or 6 inches. I guess my question would be. The rims I am picking up (14"x7", 5 x 4-3/4 bolt pattern with a 4" backspace), would I be able to use the same sized tire (P235/60R/14), without coming accross any issue of rubbing on a 1969 Buick Skylark?

Yes they will be virtually the same whether on a 6 or 7 in wheel and will easily fit your Buick.

I thought 14" Buick Rallye wheels were all 6" wide. Was there a 7" wide 14" wheel?

I ran 14" x 7" (steel wheels but that shouldn't matter as long as backspacing is the same) on my '69 Special for years. I also ran some 14" x 7" Olds cutlass rallye wheels for a while.

Thank you for the help guys. Picked up the rims that I found posted on line. They are in pretty much new condition. The guy who sold then to me owns competition cars that were spotless. He only put these rims on for a competition and took them off when he was deducted points for having the 7 inch wheels instead 6 inch wheels. I just have to get some lug nuts and tires now. Ordered a set of center caps from Mitch Romanowski. Waiting for those to come in as well.
