large manufacturer??????any hints?? :Brow: well im pretty sure all of us 350 guys cant wait!!!!!! :TU: :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:
Hey fellers, does the V6 timing cover include the bolt-on timing tab???? (GM or aftermarket???) just wondering........
I have a 601-8091 Clevite timing cover downstairs that I bought for my 350 build, it did not come with the timing indicator. I got a used one from a '78 350 but any late '75 up rwd V6 or 350 should be a good donator. I belive that the GM part# for the standard (non cam sensor type) indicator is 1258617. Greg
MANIFOLDS........Got my interest and then some :beer I'm not building the meanest muther to stalk the woods/trails but I dang sure am not going to be the one left behind because of lack of power Thanks again for the update Wayne S
I did a little investigating of that awhile back, the info I got was that the only way to do it would be to cut-n-weld the bottom half of a new cover to the upper half of an older one. Looking at pictures of them, the upper half of the newer cover is completely different. Bummer.....
New water pump cover I rebuilt a V8 350 and I put a late model V6 water pump on it, I think I had to drill out the guide holes. The later pump, big dimple in center, was redesigned for even water flow to both heads. I didn't have any problem with the timing indicator. Rich
Well... there is the late model Range Rover version. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rove...ewItemQQcategoryZ34202QQitemZ4566613546QQrdZ1 Greg
Im Excited! I HAVE A 70 350 AND I REALLY HOPE THAT SOME ONE MAKES SOME HEADS AND TURBO-SUPERCHARGERS FOR THESE. THAT WOULD BE NICE! :3gears:
its bout time someone started to make THE MUCH NEEDED 350sbb parts, whatever company has started working on theses PROPS!!!!!!! :beer even though my car is bone stock as of now, i will undoubtably buy some aftermarket heads and an intake that is of some use, with the availability of the sbb's its gonna be great, i frequently see them for sale arround $100-200 spend a few grand and you have a very lightweight engine with hopefully GOBS of Torque and horseies from the new aftermarket parts. :3gears: :3gears: :3gears: p.s. whats the deal with the v6 fuel injected type cover??? are they making a fuel injection kit for the 350, therefore a fuelinjected manifold??? whats the deal??
Timing cover years I found my sales slip for the front cover, GM part 12337249, also found the cover listed by TA as #TA 1530. This is the same cover as on my old 82 V6 engine. Diver
Timing cover I need to replace this cover on my 72 Skylark wiht a 350/4 (140,000 miles). I may add the booster plate when I do it. Is there anything else I should check or replace? No gauges but the oil pressure seems ok. I called Advance Auto but they did not recognize this number. Has anyone else ordered from them? Thanks, Kerry 72 Skylark Custom Convertible 70 GS :
Timing Cover I have a 1972 Buick Skylark (350/4) that I need to replace the timing cover. I may add the Booster plate; is there anything else I need to do while I am in there? Oil pressure seems ok. Thanks! Kerry 72 Skylark Custom Covertible 70 GS
I'm running this back up the flagpole ans ee what other information has materialized on this "large manufacturer" (getting the itch now to play around with the truck) Wayne S
