Yep - THAT's RIGHT !! The announcement has been made !!

Saturday, December 27th - 2003 is the date for the 3rd Annual.

All of my Pure Stock, Stock Appearing, and Cheater buddies and buddy-ettes are WELCOME !!

I'd love to see some Studes here this year. They have yet to "crash" one of my parties. How about it this year boyz ??? :beer

For those that haven't been, you don't know what you're missin'. For those that have been, there has GOT to be a statute of limitations on anything that is said or done at one of my Shin-Digs ?????? :Do No:

Denny Manner- Considered the "Father" of the Stage 1 Buick, finds his way with my buddy, TheOldGuy - Joe Taubitz. One of these days we will con my uncle to come out and talk some Olds "stuff". All three of 'em were part of the famous Gear Grinders car club outta Flint, MI.

However, this year we have a special guest lined up. !!!!!!

John Hamilton, one of THE ORIGINAL (13) Ramchargers, is going to be in attendance. :TU:

John was part of the group when they were running the "High-n-Mighty", and thru the '67 race season. Attending the Chrysler Technical Institute with Tom Hoover, Jim Thornton, and others ....... John still has his original engineering docs on the development of the "B" engine Chrysler camshaft. Talk about "COOL" stuff !!! By sheer coincidence, I am dating one of his daughters !!! :Brow: He hasn't brought out this stuff in 40 years. John was also the lead engineer on the Turbine car project, and has PLENTY of neato stories to go with the development of that too. He talks proudly of the personal time that the Ramchargers had to spend, on "their own time" to science out the race cars. Chrysler didn't "officially" back the team, but allowed them to use all of the R&D, dyno, and lab facilities "after hours".

Ask John who the "Father of the Hemi" is, and he has a very different answer than most.........He was there when the Hemi was taken from some OLD designs, and made into the legend it is today.

He was 'spose to be at the Hospitality Room for the PSMCDR this year to speak with John Sawruk, but wasn't able to make it. Hopefully, we can line things up for '04 !!!

See y'all at the Third Annual Pure Stock Musclecar Winter Shin-Dig !!!!!

DAMN - Joe's Buick is in pieces, being restored ........ what can Brian and I do burnouts in ??? Seems as though I have some "new" neighbors ........ you thought an engine "break-in" was evil ....... how's about a "neighbor break in" .............

    Hey!

Hey Casey, now I have an out to come back to MI from the family xmas early. But I have to tell you something, that maybe you already knew, you were invaded by the Studes at last years Shin-Dig as John Begian, President of the Studebaker Drivers Club was there, he was also at Stanton this year on Friday only, no car again, Hemi wouldn't start, and last year, with no car. I know he has some Stude's and some Moped's and he is GMI buddies with my old boss' husband! Scary! RV
And the Old Guy promises a Buick, if he doesn't bring one, I will! Even if it's a company car, like maybe a Ranier with 5300!

The tow vehicle of choice to pull Buicks out of Casey's yard will be a Hummer H2 of the 2004 vintage! I'll make sure I throw the tow rope in next to the umbrella, snow brush, boots, and Buick distributors w/o icky things! Picture to follow! Doesn't have XM radio though! Bummer:mad:

With less than two weeks until the ShinDig, I started thinking I should clean up the place !! :bglasses:

If you have not received an invite via email, let me know !! Everyone is invited, but I don't have everyones email address. The more the merrier !!

Drinks, burgers and hot dogs will be provided ! If you want to bring anything to grille, GO FOR IT !

If I could ask that folks bring some chips, salads, fruit, veggies, etc. - - THAT WOULD BE GREAT !

    See y'all on the 27th !!

Casey, I plan on being there! And forwarded your email to a bunch of my Buick/Mopar friends, only to clue them in on one of the best winter events ever! I hope your distruptor machine can handle a bunch of Buick distruptors! Just kidding, JT will be the one as mine all have that illegal Pertronix thing in them! I might find one that doesn't and throw it in the Tow Vehicle(H2). See ya in few. RV

*** Paging The Old Guy ***

    Hey Joe,

When you talk with Du, ask him if he can dig up some pictures of the '68 Ram-Rod * Critter Gitter *, and bring 'em to the party with you guys !!! :TU:

That was another Victor-George car. Black with gold leaf. :TU: :TU: I totally forgot about that one .... :Dou:

Du sure did have some COOL stories about factory and dealer Olds racing. I can't WAIT for him to spill at the party !!

He also told me what Critter Gitter meant ! :beer I'll let him tell all the Mopar guys ....... :puzzled: :Brow:

I will check with Du and see what he can come up with. I am sure he has LOTS of info on the olds that ran at the meets in the years they were kicking butt!!

    A little over 24 hours till *PAR-TY TIME* !!

A chance for you to get over the dull-drums of the Holidaze, and tell lies amongst friends ! :Brow:

We're putting things together 'round here. Hopefully, the 40* weather holds out a little bit ..... My front yard could be slurry by the end of the night with mud ..... :eek2:

Driveway, front yard, and anywhere you see cars is OK to park. I got the new house/(camper on a foundation) next door this year ..... :Dou: No neighbors in there yet tho ....

I look forward to seeing everyone, and trust that your Holiday is going fabulously !! :TU:

    Thanks again, Casey AND Cindy

Make sure to pass along our thanks to Cindy along with yours. Somebody had to clean up that mess.

Great time, thanks for the hospitality. I loved talking and listening to Dru, but I think the tech people are going to have to look a lot closer at your car(s) after hearing some of his stories.

Pete was going to pass along Jimmy's thanks, too, but couldn't spell this so I will :
