No classes listed in the current GSX-tra that I can see.

Greg, what kind of car numbers have you seen in those categories in past years? No idea here, just curious.

Jeff, well actually no, this is the year of the Big Block 4 speed. The Riv may have a easy one this year hanging out at home.

    David, last year i think there was 4 or 5 Riv's and 3 or 4 Cat's.

I see what you are saying, but its not as easy to lump them in with other similar A or G body classes like in the consolidation of the others.

I really wasn't saying anything at all, only curious about how many of these models make the trip. Hope it's just an oversight that they aren't listed.

While there is a '66 Wildcat GS and numerous years of Rivs, I thought that the GSCA was about larks!?

I've been down there in a WIldcat the last few years. We had 2 cars in the class last year. I guess I'll have to drive a little car this year.

Here is the offical response from my post at buickgsca.com

The GS Nationals strives to make sure classes are commensurate with the participation of our membership. When the number of any specific model increases we will add a new class. When the number of any specific model decreases for a significant number of years that model will be combined into another class. Over the past 5 years participation in the Riviera class 2.6 cars, Wildcat class 1.8 cars. Rivieras as well as Wildcats are most welcome to participate in class I or class J.

If you are a Riviera and/or Wildcat club member and would like to increase your model's participation contact me directly and I will work with you to make it happen.

I have edited this thread. Some posts for comments made, others just because with previous posts removed, they don't make any sense anymore..

Guys, let's play nice, and don't let the GSCA's actions pit one enthusiast against another here.

Not much we can do about this recent turn of events, I am afraid it's a sign of the times.
