http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4561589147&category=15287 i saw this car up close a few years back, and it is BAD 7 inch rod 455,no a/c,.originally a 350 car.all it needs is manifolds and different exhaust... the car under the hood is all chromed up and motor is yellow, but wouldnt take much to look factory stock :3gears: that 510 emblem on the hood might have to come off,too :jd:
I believe I've seen this car before too. You'd think they clean the tires before listing it for sale o No: So thats another 510 I know of :Brow: Wouldn't you also need the cutout rear bumper? But still all minor things needed to at least have a FAST entry.
chris,it was talked about recently on ROP.car was sold about 4 years ago while i was in nebraska picking up a car.and stopped to look at this car. previous owner still had the original 350 and tranny wrapped up in plastic.
Call me a skeptic, but "Show me the timeslip!" Just because it's got an extra 55 cubic inches doesn't mean it's fast. I'd rather start from scratch on the engine.
brian i would totally agree if i hadnt seen the car up close. the motor was the last thing that impressed the about the car, really. im more interested in body condition, thats important to me the most.. you can put a motor in a car in a day,but body work and paint takes forever..
This car was his "Uncles" pride & joy. Looked at another car, '71 GS455 by the same vendor. Currently still listed. That one was his "Father's " pride & joy. Wanted to speak to all perspective bidders on E-Bay. I smell a FISH.
that was were I recently remember hearing about it again. I recall seeing it in person. I remember because of the new style Olds logo and 510 call out on the hood. I thought cool, but why that ugly new style logo. It might have been at the 98 Nats in Springfield.
