The exterior is not very pretty. You don't want to see it. Actually, months ago I started the "dilemma, to rebody or not" thread regarding my W-31. So here are some pics to look at. The exterior is basically unchanged. I have lowered the rear end, removed the cargo coils and installed a pair of rear springs from my 69 442 parts car. I also have a set of SSII I want to put on. I just like those better than the SSI. In the interior I have swapped out the rear seat with a black one that doesn't have the stuffing coming out. I also put cheapy seat covers over the buckets. The steering wheel in the pics has been replaced with a 68 model. I have a blue 69 sport wheel that will be going on.[/QUOTE] I remember seeing the car at the OCA nats in 200 when it was in New Jersey. Maybe it ain't pretty but its all there and it looks OK in my book
Thanks Erwin. If you remember when you saw it in NJ, there was a 455 in it, which was the only reason I was thrown into the modified category. I actually have pics from NJ of my W-31, Steve Puleo's 69 F-85 W-31 (aztec gold, black interior, 4sp) and Clint Bowers'(?) 69 S W-31 (white, red bucket interior automatic) all lined up. Sort of a before, during and after shot. Dave, the stripes are black. I like the color too because it's really a toro exclusive color (or so says my paint chip chart). I was hoping to bleed the brakes today and take the first drive, but my buddy isn't home Actually his roommate isn't home as my buddy is in Ohio for the weekend. I'll call again later this afternoon and hopefully can get this car on the road today.
Chris, what are those big iron things bolted to the heads? youre almost done, now comes the fun part of giving your hands a workout sanding, grinding, welding, and sanding some more..
I'd love to see the picture I'm sure others would as well. Even though the weather sucked. I had a great time and missin NJ big-time
