4 years ago, you would have thought the car would have made it to the track by now. But no results given.

Here is an old post that was earlier in the thread:

I talked to Anthony yesterday on Facebook and he has not had a chance to run his street car on the track lately... He is planning to run it this summer coming up.

Wow Sean, that was 3 years ago, I guess life gets in the way of the important things to do.:Brow:

12.19 traction limited on low boost is some impressive numbers! With the low boost and traction that thing is easily in elevens. Turn up the wick with traction and 10s is a very easy target.:TU: I would imagine the car would be in the mid to high 12s with no boost with 425 N/A HP. The boost must of been turned WAY down for that run!:eek2: 3 PSI? Maybe lower?

It would be great to see what that engine would do in a car set up to run 10s or lower with 15 PSI. But why would Finishline want to make their bread and butter 455s look like a punk, that's why I doubt we'll ever see that.:Do No:

Stronger factory block that doesn't break without a girdle until 1000 HP +, $500 for a 455 girdle and around $500 to have that girdle installed. Conspiracy?:puzzled: LOL

I think you are thinking too much into it Derek, they are super busy and the engine successfully killed the trans and rear end with torque and that did not help with all the repairs needed to handle the kick ass engine...

They did have the boost turned down at first, and also I remember Bobb saying that the trans was disintegrating during the last quarter mile races which obviously hurt the times.

No one gets me, I was making a Buick 350 conspiracy joke reference.

Anyway with F/L so busy building 455s they would need another shop to build 350s if(when) 350s had aftermarket support and started getting more popular.(which could happen with the new parts that are coming out soon)

So the 12.19 was with a dying trans, that makes sense because the 420 N/A HP should of been enough to run close to that time. Its to bad they didn't have time to get the car going before next summer, they could of been sbb 350 gods by now! :Brow:

It started out as a joke with Bobb and I on the phone... I was trying to suggest that he get his son (15) at the time to build a 350 instead of the 455 they were planning... Bobb jokingly said "if i had a 350 here to build then i would concider it"...

So i got off the phone, found a 68 jeep wagoneer that was being parted out, bought the original Buick 350 out of it and had it delivered to Finishline! Bobb called me and was like "what the heck?".... I said come on! Build it! And I am glad they did...

Last i heard they had 2 turbo buick 350s on thier plate, this really woke them up to the potential of these engines!

Stay tuned for the exclusive details in my upcoming book...

I guess this means I am still the one to beat with a currently running 355 with a 120 shot of nitrous going 11.81 @ 114 spinning the tires out of the hole 10 ft LOL. I did it with two different trans. The only thing that got killed was the driveshaft when I twisted it in half. You want to talk about Instant on, try nitrous.

20 years old this year on the engine. Same with the rear end, the trans (350) was 15 years old and the 2004r trans has been in for 10 years now.

The 350's are going to give the the 455's a good run for their money, it's going to happen with the good parts coming. They will still rule, but every one else is going to be scared to death. Talking Chevy's Fords etc. :eek2::Brow:

Actually once the good 350 parts start showing up and the factory Buick block boost crowd see the what the sbb 350 potential is without a jock strap  they might think twice on which engine to run!:eek2: Up to 1,000 HP strapless.:Brow:

The only 455 that will "rule" after the 350 gets some parts will be the Tomahawk platform builds there after.

After the heads and intake are available we will be still in need of good pistons and rods for the 350 without buying custom or modifying other off the shelf brands to find the limits of the 350 crank. If it is as good as the 455 crank the block should break before the crank like a 455 without a girdle but only at a higher power level.

And if TA makes an aluminum sbb 350 style block with a 4.00" bore like the v6 block, LOOKOUT Tomahawk!:Brow:

I'm getting ahead of myself, we need the heads and intake first.

I would rather run without juice but it is just so much fun! Just think even with a strong runner NA think about the possibilities with a Procharger or Nitrous injected in each runner. That, would just scream. Maybe we should get some more 350's to have lying around like Sean has, you never know you might be able to sell those engines at a good price if this all takes off like it should.

It will be called "The way underrated other Buick motor."

I do not care to make any money off them I just wanted to have lots around in case I need them for either a runner to swap in or a core for a rebuild.... With all the old cars being crushed around here I figured get them while they are available...

I once flew across the country for a wedding, found a 350 in that town, shipped it back home to myself, and had it built... I am addicted to collecting 350s, what can I say... Could be worse things to collect.

That's a very nice open gesture Jim. Bobb has the knowledge we need for modifying all Buick here, as you do.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
