Dale I might give that a shot.

Anyways the valve cover leak is solved. With so many people telling me not to overtighten them I had them too loose. :Dou: Now they don't leak. PCV valve is working too and it made the exhaust sound much better. Drove it home, shes sitting in my driveway as we speak. :bglasses:  :3gears:

How about a pic with the "new" wheels? I like the Bleche White stuff, too, although never used it for vinyl parts, just tires. Nice write up.

Sorry, no pics yet. I'll get some pics up in the next day or two, or just make you wait until everything is done. Got the engine bay cleaned even further today. Found where the rear window leaks and will fix it later. Removed everything from the trunk and will get rid of the surface rust and re-paint, then install new carpet and no rubber material in the trunk. I'm now contamplating if I should restore the air cleaner or get a new K & N unit. Got some scotch tape off the windshield that somebody put over the antenna, stupid. I'm going to scrub the white seats next because I finnally found a good cleaner. Got new sway bar end links and will install those soon and get an alignment.

Now I just need to decide on what exhaust, it sounds nice with the single exhaust.....chug.chug.chug. I've been told the mufflers I bought will be loud and I don't want that but Bruce told me they are quiet which is why I bought them.

    What mufflers did you buy?

    Dynomax super turbo mufflers. 2.5inch

    Have you heard mine?

Might sound a bit different with headers, so going through manifolds should be a bit quieter...but the general consensus is that the Dynomax mufflers are the quietest performance mufflers when you're just driving around...but when you get it on, they let you know there's a big V8 at the source of that sound!

Believe it or not, I have never heard your car run. And i've seen it a few times too. If you say they are quiet then it must be true, don't know what that other guy was talking about. Do you have resonators? :Do No: Im thinking of ditching them. :Do No:

sharkmonkey Give me something to hit!

Where are you getting the bumper rubber from? I need to do mine too but not before the car show I'm attending on May 6th. I'll be lucky if I can get it washed before then...

Got the new sway bar end links installed today for the front only. But I don't know if I did it right, no directions in the box so I had 1 old link to go off of. Still not sure if I got the bottom rubber thing right. Also made my way over to the exhaust shop fo a quote. Looks like I will have 2 1/4" pipe coming off the manifold and going into the x-pipe, then 2 1/2" inch pipe to the mufflers and then the tailpipes. All of it will be aluminized pipe.

Had to tighten down the rear brake line as it leaked, I almost had an empty master cylinder for the rear brakes when I got home. Boy am I glad I tried not to use to the brakes coming home from the exhaust shop.

Got all the adhesive and dirt off the windshield so I could put my city sticker on. Gotta find a place for the CCGSCA sticker.

Only bad thing is one stud on the passenger front wheel snapped when I took it off. Not sure why, but I'll replace it soon.

Gotta find exavtly where the trans. is leaking from, I know its coming from the passenger side. Its slow so I can't stand there and look for it.

Also upon closer inspection of the front suspension, it appears the car has another piece of evidence that proves it only has 58K on it. :bglasses:

    EEE Straight out of lo-cash!

Isn't it supposed to be a larger diameter on the exhaust pipe initially, then as the fumes cool a smaller diameter is good enough?

    Not sure...

Spent 2 hours cleaning and polishing the road wheels yeasterday. The scuff pad was too fine and did nothing, the steel wool did the trick. I thought the wheels would never look this good, the caps cleaned up REALLY nice too. I will probably bring it to work and install the sway bar end links, and if I feel like it the outer tie-rods. Also need to get on the trans leak pronto, its bugging me. :error:

    Kimson:

Traditionally thats the better way to make power, however, the outlets from the manifolds are probably 2.25" so mating up a short 2.25" pipe is easier than doing 2.5 right up to the manifold (its not impossible to do that, but easier to go with the smaller pipe, so I'm told). I doubt any power will be lost or gained with the new 2.5" exhaust, but possibly with the x-pipe and mufflers.

Installed the new outer tie-rods, have the new sleeves sitting in the box, and I'm I have to wait until tomorrow for a real auto parts store to open up so I can get the inner tie-rods. Centerlink will take another 2 weeks before it arrives. :error: Stupid parts store that don't have any good brands. :spank:

Kinda mad because I have to wait for EVERYTHING else before I get these parts in, rather than un-do everthing several times. In the mean time my alignment is sloppy as hell.

Tidy'd the car up. Vacuum the interior, scrubbed the floormats on each side three times. Came out GREAT! :bglasses: Put the spark plug wire looms on and switched some wires around for a cleaner look. Bought a torque wrench, new fangled clicker type. :Brow:

I'll get some pics of the wheels after I clean them again tomorrow. Tomorrow is supposed to be my day off for the month from work(I hope real life isnt like this, school all week and work all weekend with 1 day off a month) but I took the later shift for a buddy so I could keep my paycheck rolling in. Got the four-note horns installed yesterday. Today I removed the inner tire rods, sleeves, outer tie rods and centerlink with new ones. I had to order the idler arm and get it late tomorrow, the car is slopply as hell because the idler is shot. The pitman arm has a tiny bit of movement you can hear but not feel. Hopefully I get a ton of the little things done tomorrow. :)
