TH400 trans

I have a 400 trans I just had removed from my 68, but don't know if its the original trans or a donor. The motor was swapped out somethime back by the previous owner and I'm guessing maybe the trans was also. Anyways If someone can tell me where to look on the trans for some numbers, maybe it can help someone out.
It would be a pick up only sorry, I'm in southern california(temecula)

Tranny Tag

There should be a tag on the right side (near rear) with the info.:TU:

Also on drivers side above pan there may be the last digits of vin stamped. They would be on the flat surface that the pan bolts to stamped horizontally if they are there.:TU:

 

Jeff, are you giving it away? If not, please post a price. If I was closer...

It could be original. A 68 'vert auto would have had a ST-400.

 

I'll take $50 bucks for it. If it can be used by someone here on this forum, great. If not, I may just donate it to the local high schools auto shop. I still haven't found the numbers on it under all the mud but I will get it posted
