Can I leave the speedometer cable out of the transmission or does it need to be installed in order to prevent leaks? I don't want to install the speedometer cable since the other end won't have the speedometer to hook into and I'm concerned about it whipping around or being a problem. This is a temporary issue but for starting and moving around the parking lot, is this a concern or not?
