  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

There are several Hotels/motels in the Temple area that range from $49 to $125 and on up. HK Dodgen is a Loop in Temple. The SW part of the Loop is about 10 miles from the Little River track.

I contacted the Country Inn and suites located at 1414 SW HK Dodgen Temple 76504, it is 9.9 miles from the track. The Hotel is just SW of I35 exit 299.

Single, Double King or Queen $80 + tax. I spoke with Shelley I told her we had a race event at Little River on the 29th.

Dad did mention that the main reservations center wouldn't do the $80 rate, but talking to a local person there in Temple made it happen. Maybe that will help!? Might have been the AARP discount that helped him out though!!!

I did talk to Shelley at the hotel. She had no knowledge of our event by every derivation of the event name I could think of or David at all. Just cut me off and sent me to the front desk for a regular reservation. Kind of snippy actually.

    No biggie.

    gsman66 Only in Texas....

I made our reservations last week; talked to Sandy at the front desk(?) who was very nice; the cheapest rate the reservation office could do was $99. Sandy said they have limited parking especially for trucks / trailers. Said we could park next door at a pizza place which is closed. Their video surveillance cameras don't reach that far though....

Hope the nice weather forecast holds out.
