Just FYI. If anyone is using a muncie with a TCS switch on the 3-4 lever and doesnt want the switch there, there is a GM plug for it. The GM plug that replaces the switch is GM # 3906448. The number has been superseded with GM # 8877723. The original gasket for the TCS is 3906462 but I'm being told is discontinued. But a little thread sealer will alleviate that problem.

Also, if anyone is interested, the TCS hole in the side cover is 9/16-18 STRAIGHT THREAD. TCS switch uses a 7/8" wrench to remove and the new plug uses a 3/4" wrench.

The shift shafts with the internal 3/8" threads are different but look like they can be interchanged. The 3-4 shift shaft to be used with a TCS has a flat side on it that the ball of switch can ride on. The other 1-2 shift shaft does not have a flat side.

Just thought this info could be of use to someone.
