  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

The link to this thread came from the Rotting Musclecars thread on the Supercars Unlimited site. I check that every day as I'm fascinated by these old junkyards. Check out some of the really rare cars there. I about flipped out on the shot of the Pontiacs. Convertibles everywhere. Most look to be not so bad and could easily still be saved.

Don't know anything more about it than you can also read on those two sites, I guess it's in Alberta, Canada. There was a huge all Oldsmobile in Soldier, Kansas named Hall's Oldsmobile Salvage. Hundreds and hundreds of cars with really high quality parts. Unfortunatrely also very expensive parts. They refused to sell it off in pieces and had all of them crushed for scrap metal in the early 90's. Probably sold the titles to the Big 3 like they did in the Southwest to buy Cafe credits. Another great government plan that accomplished nothing that was intended.

I've had dreams over the years of places like this.

Halls oldsmobile did crush a pile of cars but when they were getting ready to they offered any complete car for $300.... I bought 6 of them (all buick) :TU:

They did have like over 2000 cars however. The buick rows was picked over pretty good by the time I was out of there.....:Brow:

Didn't realize they had anything other than Olds there. Must not have publicized that they would sell any of the cars. Without the internet back then, info travelled slowly through monthly magazines.

I bought some parts from them and they sure were expensive, but nice.
