Do i have to take the dash apart to get the unit out? or can i reach all the ducting with just taking the glove box out? i'm still going to run heat. AC was shot anyway.... 83 regal limited. Thanks. -Brendan Got the rear stuff i got done, shocks and springs... gonna have to swap them when i get a good rearend tho. gonna weld spiders for now... heh.
No, Just unbolt everything and it should slide out. The main support for the dash has to be unbolted and I can't remember if I had the front clip off or not so you might have some interference there.
Wow, that picture helps A LOT! i'm not taking the duct work out, as i am still going to be running heat. got an AC delete, that allows for a modified blower housing to be re-installed, and the instructions call for discontecting the duct work and electrical from the AC unit. i had to take the inner fender out, probably would have been much easier with the whole front clip off. but i have limited storage space, (trunk, inside car) for the parts i take off, as i'm building this car at work (toyota dealership) and i'm no more than a well experienced aprentice. so i'm kinda getting the best outta my job, since both my boss and my mentor love muscle... mentor loves buicks, has a 67 gs400 compleatly restored... had a 500+ buick in it, but for now, (only due to lack of a better place to put it) it's getting a 500+ cube, blown chevy... NOT PERMINANT, only untill the camino is ready for that kind of power.... then the buick goes into the buick, maybe 2 years or so. But back to my car, it'll be easy to locate what i need from looking at that picture, thank you.
