Hello all - I've completed my initial list of stuff I have to get for my '67 GS400. Before I order all these things from Year One, OPGI, The Parts Place, etc, I wanted to give y'all a chance to take my money instead of the big repop companies. I'd rather have my $$ stay in the family and get used to buy more Buick parts. Here's the list of what I want to replace/upgrade....If you have any of this stuff I'd appreciate pictures and prices. My shipping zip code is 85345 in Arizona. Body parts drivers side floor to firewall extension I have a rust patch about the size of a deck of cards below the clutch pedal in the bend where the floor meets the firewall complete trunk floor It isn't all rusted, but there are enough patches that I think it would be easier to just replace the entire thing body mounts and new hardware set rear deck lid between rear window and trunk same story as the trunk floor hood insulation lower windshield channel replacement rusty and leaking - caused the drivers floor rust trunk gasket passenger side rear quarter panel lower patch I have rust on the bottom of the rear quarter and following the wheelwell up to the body line midway up the wheelwell fuel tank pad fuel tank straps fuel tank door weatherstripping cowl seal GS grille Mike is sending pics of his grille Interior parts glove box liner dash pad - any color - will end up black front and rear door panels - parchment door panel watershields front armrest bases - both sides rear armrest covering - coupe/convertible style - will end up black carpet - black headliner - black sail panels - black - wide style package tray with padding package tray end trim - black carpet underlay dome light lenses - round - for the sail panel lights rear ashtray - one of mine has a rusty lid headliner trim front, rear, sides all windlace rear seat cover - black driver side air duct hose from center box to side vent car has A/C center air vent grill - the one above the radio ignition lock bezel I don't even know if the car originally came with one, but it looks like one should be there early style (no pushbutton) shorty console lid covering I have a consolette, but the vinyl on the top is thrashed would consider a complete lid or console clock or tach for shifter console door lock ferrules windlace end caps headliner insulation chrome sunvisor supports mine are pitted chrome rear view mirror support pitted like the sunvisor supports rear seat divider board with insulation not a high priority - I have the old one firewall clutch linkage boot bellhousing boot accelerator pedal ball studs replacing the sheet metal, might as well replace the studs Misc fan shroud front spindles, backing plates, caliper brackets, proportioning valve for disc conversion rear anti-sway bar 3 spoke chrome steering wheel 15x7 or 15x8 wheels - 5 x 4 3/4 pattern original rally wheels or American Racing Torq Thrust front windshield glass radio antenna That's a nice short list, don't you think? ou: I understand that shipping will be obscene on some of these things if I get them from across the country. I'd rather buy the big, heavy stuff close to home if possible. Take my money!! :Brow:
I can help you with the fuel tank, rear window to decklid panel and the floor panel. Mike Buick Bonery 916/599-3934
PM's sent to Scott and Mike..... I also need to add a driver side paddle style interior door handle to the list. Here is the grille that I have on the car now: Thanks everybody! Keep 'em coming....I haven't spent it all yet!
Len, are there any large automotive flea markets out your way? Here on the East coast, we have Carlisle, Englishtown, and Charlotte, to name a few. Many of the aftermarket vendors attend, AND offer special 'show discounts'. And of course, NO SHIPPING charges! It's also a great opportunity to check out the products offered by chev and Pontiac vendors....many of which will fit our Buicks. :TU:
I don't know of any out here except Pomona, and I've never been to that one. The VW guys have a great swap meet during the Bug O' Rama.....maybe one of the other west coast folks could help.. ???
