Tabco has 68-69 quarters in stock, they are correct for 69. They also have 70-72 in stock. I was there today .Get em while they're hot
Thanks Dano.....Fortunately,I picked up some AMD panels in Virginia last Saturday from a fellow member. Got 1 full 1/4 and 1 skin!
I ordered a left side on Monday and it told me $420 shipped to my house. Got a call from Tabco this morning letting me know their website wasn’t calculating shipping correctly as it didn’t add truck charges and FedEx residential surcharge. They had to cancel that order and reorder with customer pickup at the FedEx terminal. They estimated $195 for shipping so $570 total now. If I have it delivered to my house they said FedEx would tack another $150-$200 to that!
Yikes, the add-ons make it not such a great deal--$750 each. Getting close to being in the "might as well do body work on the originals" zone.
@69GS430/TKX I was able to pick it up at the Fed Ex terminal 15 minutes from my house. Total cost with shipping was $549.63 which I was good with considering I had been looking for over two years for one.
Agreed, I'd say that's within the acceptable price range, especially if you only need one side, and not both. Are these panels listed on Tabco's website for ordering? Or do you need to call them on the phone?
You're prob. close enough (not sure where in WV you are or where in OH Tabco is) that it'd be worth going to get 'em. The $ plus risk of damage in shipping.
That is a great idea, Dano, thanks. I'm in the eastern panhandle, close to several of the interstates, so the distance is probably offset by the shipping savings, plus, as you said, the high (IMO, given my luck) probability of damage in transit. Although I have to say that I ordered some inner fenderwell repros from AMD back when they were running a sale (I think it was a free or cheap shipping special), and those arrived just fine.
