one of my buddies recently got a 86' regal. but heres the question is? it has the t's on the fenders and on the steering wheel and the mag . but it doesn't have the turbo motor, it has 307 v8.

they made the t type model with the turbo and the 307, which the people who ordered a t with a 307 would have been real dissapointed if they would have drove the v6 version. one of the only times when buying a v6 version of a car was better.

The t package was a suspensiion package that normally also had the turbo motor option. Wheels sway bars springs.

I asked this same question last year on one of the Turbo Buick boards when there was one local for sale. I was told that they came with the 7.5 rearend. Only the Turbo 6's and the Olds 442 G-Body cars came with the 8.5. The rears are pretty easy to tell apart. Looking under the car, just below the rear cover the 7.5 has small "fangs" cast into the housing that point down at the bottom of the cover, on the 8.5 the "fangs" are squared off and flat on the bottom.

I believe they offered the T-Type package on the NA V6 cars as well.
