I'm looking for a bushing for a 72 Skylark with a 7/8" sway bar. All that I've been able to find for a 7/8" sway bar have been much to large to fit the bracket. The photo below is the latest attempt from Auto Zone. I also ordered a set from TPP for a 7/8" sway bar and they were also much too large to fit the bracket. Original bushing is on the right. Any suggestions? Sway Bar Bushing.jpg

Stage1Restoration has some for 15/16" bars. Are you set on keeping the 7/8" bar?

I doubt your sway bar is 7/8. The correct bushings are moog k5241for a 15/16 front sway bar. Rears are 7/8"

Used the k5241s on Tony's blue 69 GS 400 vert

It's 7/8, which does seem to be an outlier. I didn't disassemble the car and don't know it's history so can't attest to the bar being what it came with originally. I think I'll try a 15/16 and see how it fits. Thanks everyone for the input! IMG_7593.jpg

The 7/8" front bar is probably the "base level"/standard bar for the front of Abody cars from this era. May be typical for cars w/no optional suspensions ordered. My bet is your car didn't come with a rear sway bar.

    Those k5241's do both

Correct, no rear sway bar. I did order the K5241's and expect they'll be what I'm looking for. Thanks!

15/16 Inch Polyurethane sway bar bushings
I am looking to upgrade my sway bar end links and bushings to polyurethane but still have it look stock. Found black poly end links no problem.
Would like to use the stock bushing bracket with a 15/16" BLACK polyurethane bushing.

Does any one have a recommendation for where I can find a bushing that will fit?

Was wondering if these black Corvette bushings would work:
