Using my spread bore SP1 with a Trans Dapt Dominator adapter until I can get a SP1 with a Dominator flange.Removed the intake to replace oil soaked gaskets from leaky valve covers. Reinstalled intake,installed adapter,carb & set fuel bowls.The motor will start & imediately race up to 2k rpms for about 6 to 10 seconds then dies.Fuel pressure is 8lbs.I retorqued the intake & carb & it still does the same thing.I am thinking I have a major intake leak.Any imput would be appreciated.
You may want to double check the sealing of the adaptor gaskets, both sides. Obviously sounds like a major vacuum leak. If the intake was sealing before disassembly and you reused it, then the biggest suspect in my mind would be the adaptor gaskets.
