Been looking around online to see if i can find a supercharger for a old 75 350 v8 with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks =D
i honestly think if you can have a manifold made for for the supercharger, everything should be all right. you could get any size blower you wanted. by the way if you guys know someone to do stuff like this let me know,i want to get an idea of what a few of my crazy little plans cost.
Hmm i have a friend that casts metal and has started making his own auto parts. Ill have to look into the manifold i would need.
The simple way to boost a Buick 350 is to use a "procharger" type belt driven unit to push air in a carb. You'd still need to make some brackets and stuff but not hard to do or super precise work.
WOW KOOL i'm planning on putting a 6-71 on a 350 . nice to know some one else is as crazy as i am. i'm in the process of planning a manifold. have sombody in mind to approach about the welding . not sure if i want to adapt an existing manifold or a completely fabbed one. The casting thing mentioned above is interesting, if that is really possible let me know. AND yes i know centrifigals are more effitient i am into the nastagia look :3gears:
Ta makes intake flanges for the 455 and could do the same for 350, then you could build an intake from the flanges to your chosen induction system.
I made the flanges when i built the adapter for my 300. just trying to decide how to go about this project.
Wasn't there a Whipplecharger or something that could bolt to a 4 bbl. carb flange? If you absolutely have to go the Roots style blower, I'd check on running a SBC setup and getting adapters made for the Chevy intake base. Intercooled ProCharger should net the most power.
The closest roots style blower kit for the Buick 350 would be the mopar LA (non magnum) smallblock and Pontiac V8. The port shape and placement would be easier to match up than a SBC.
Dyer has GMC-type blower manifolds for about anything, and can custom build a blower manifold from a stock manifold. [But, of course, bring your Visa.] http://www.dyersblowers.com/187/1667.html
