Hopefully within the next few months, I will recieve my injury settlement for a crash almost a year ago. Well once this comes around, I should have plenty of "buick bucks" to make the regal faster. My father brought up the idea of super chargering the 455. Well before I get too carried away, id like to know if there is even a bracket available to mount the charger. I've got to looking, and a typical V8 system bolts to the drivers side head where the orignal power steering pump brackets where bolted to. Now I know BBC have the same basic 3 bolt holes in the heads like our BB buicks. What I would like to know if anyone knows if the bolt pattern is the same dimensions as buicks. I would like to just be able to purchase one for a chevy instead of having to fab one. I looked and I cant located one for buicks, but maybe there already is one. Any information would help.

    Thanks,
    Andy

Check the "street/strip 455" forum. There's a thread detailing the installation of the kit. It's actually 'part 2' of the install, but just search that forum (and the "high tech for old iron" forum) and you should find more threads about this. I believe there's a second guy running the XS kit, along with a guy running a vortech using custom brackets.

    Hey Guys,

Yes.... my car is running XS kit. I was the ginne pig for this deal. There is now one other running around as well. The kit is well laid out and easy to bolt on. You will need pretty good tunning skills to make it happy tho.

The ATI kit Mike offers (Xsperformance) is a lot of bang for the bucks.

    brackets

My Vortech YS trim blower is mounted using a combination of big block chevy brackets and I machined the rest of the brackets to adapt to the Buick. It was not too difficult to make and the car made pretty big power numbers. Rich, how does the blower feel on that new motor?

Seems to feel pretty good  It will be good to see what kind of numbers it turns in Vegas this weekend.

I'm not expecting any BIG numbers like you have, but then again, I only started with a low 13 second motor too :) It would be nice to see it in the 11's with about 7 to 8psi on street tires. Time will tell.....
