Has anyone ever tryed to put in solid subfram conectors in a 61-63 special? Going to put in a 455 and need some advice. I am also planning on putting in a cage.

Have not done them on one of those but have done some in late 60s cars.
I would definately do something to strengthen the 'frame'/floor. I think I would weld them in as opposed to the bolt in type (if they are even available for that year/model).
If you are going to put in a cage, have them tie it in to the front of the frame in the engine bay also, as well as back past the rear tires if possible. This will give much more strength than just the 'cabin' section will.
