It looks like we are going to build some headers to for the stg-2 heads to fit into the 64 to 67 chassis for a customer. Then I will consider sending them off and having them duplicated if anyone else is interested. Jim Burek P.A.E. ENTERPRISES
Headers Gary Giessen is getting a set of custom step headers made for a 65 for a Stg Motor. What kind are you looking at making and what size?
Jim, I would be interested in a pair to replace the 68-72 stg 2 headers I have now in my 65. What size (2" or 2 1/8") do you plan to make?
This set will be 2inch primaries. Depending on how they come out, 2 1/8 should be no problem. Jim Burek

Re: Headers We actually have most of the prototyping done, we went with 2 1/8 inch tubes. The pass side is in the car, we are working on one final tube on the driver's side. Jim Burek
Good for you Jim! A lot of guys have been waiting for someone to make these headers for quite some time.
FYI, Gary Giessen and a friend of his has been asking us for a bit of time now to make this header. We have had a car here to build them in for about a year. Two months ago we installed a 455 block and trans into this car and took it to our header fabrication shop in California. We were building the proto set in 2-1/8, but I do believe 2" will be more popular, both will most likely be available at some point. The headers have been fit into the car at this time but some changes are in order. On another note we have finished the proto 2-1/8 Stage 1 headers. We have held off a bit on a production run but soon to come. There are a few sets out in cars at this time though. Any questions please feel free to call Dave or myself at TA. Thanks. At this time we have no back orders or no one on a list of interest, so I have not issued a P.O. We will have to make 50 sets or so to get any kind of price. The same goes for the Stage1 2-1/8 header. It's ready to go but only a few on order. Call and get your name on the list.
Is there a update on these headers and who has awaiting list? Give me a ballpark figure and I will send you the deposit for the 2 sets I need. Hell I might just buy 3 in case I deatroy on of the 2 on the car. Then I have a spare to bolt on. Doug:laugh:
Doug, Ironically I talked to both Jim Burek and TA this last week. Jim said as early as December, and TA was "within several months." I'll also send the deposit as soon as there is a firm delivery date.
Ok guys, I'm going to send off th prototypes this coming week to firm up the deal. Should be able to get the finished header in about 3 weeks. These will be very high quality pieces and low production run so they will be a little more expensive than what's out there , or actually not out there yet for the application.
