Stage 1 heads- complete

Off a 73- factory Stage 1heads- no cracks, 1 exhaust bolt broke off.
$300.00 or offer? shipping weight is 75 lbs each. Want them gone!

Sorry for the late reply-was at a local car show with the T Type and took 3rd in class!( stock 81-present-9 cars in class- 6 late model Mustangs) Heads should work on a 400 with proper head gasket and lifter/pushrod/ rockers.
Here's the rundown on shipping through USPS- I can check with my local engine builder on Monday on his best way-these costs sounded high:

What differences are there between the 73 455 heads and stage 1 heads?

 

The casting #'s are the same but Stage 1 had bigger valves and stiffer valve springs.

Mike.....have you gotten any more info on shipping from your engine builder ? I know I am second in line on your most recent thread and am just checking in to see what direction you are going in with this sale.

Shipping seems the same from USPS, UPS, etc. I checked with the engine guy this AM and took one to weigh- He uses UPS
Shipping for Jeff is $51.00 each and real weight is 70lbs, so can go USPS.
Sorry about the line confusion- I had very little response the first time posted. To follow proper places, Jeff will have first dibs.

 

I will pass on the heads just got a smoken deal on a new set of valves.
