So last week was the BPG Nationals at National Trail Raceway unfortunately I wasn't able to bring my dad's T-Type as I had planned to I had to resort to bringing my 2010 Chevy Cobalt SS. Friday night was just test and tune at the track and my cousin and I we just messing around seeing to who could be the better time in my car. Late in the day a group of people show up one in a Ford Focus, another in a Mercedez, and the last in a SRT4 Neon. I was waiting to go up to make a pass and I'm watching the Neon make a 14.34 pass and I make a 14.12 pass. I get back to the pits and I keep an eye on it to see if there would be a coincidental chance I could line up against it. He makes his way to the staging lanes and I ran to my car and got behind him so we could line up. We get on the track do the burnout get staged light goes green and we take off. Just a reminder that my car's stickshift and twice that day I grinded the crap outta second gear. But this time I slam second gear :3gears:and hear my tires chirp then slam it into third gear. I didn't really see the Neon until we get to the finish line and I see the win light came on in my lane. I go around and grab my time slip. I find out that I cut a .094 light to his .3XX light and I ran a 14.23 and he went a 14.09. I may not have gotten the faster time but I beat him where it mattered on the tree so I can now put a check next to the SRT4 Neon as a Kill.

didn't you make about 173 passes in the two days we were there ? I was really hoping you'd get your 13.xx timeslip. Should have made a deposit at the port-a-potty like I suggested

... if there's EVER a time you want to maximize the number of trips down the 1320' - come on out to the BPG meet in Ohio.

I was really hoping for my 13 second pass as well but hey I was close. 14.07 in a 4 cylinder is pretty good especially as hot as it was both days. I remember last year there was an issue that no one was aware that T&T was open all day. Oh and I had taken off the 10 pounds I had on my ankles the whole day and didn't really eat much just drank a lot of water.

That's better than me. I got whipped by a PT cruiser. But it was doing 11's and 118 mph :eek2:

the first and only time I've been to the strips I ran a 16.727@81.25mph with an R/T of .361  in my ole' stock 97 Pontiac Grand Am GT V-6.
I had a 95 BMW 3series beat for most of the run, but the 4-sp auto in my car didn't have enough top end, once he hit 5-th on his manual he took off. Still a lot of fun, just running for personal bests!
On a second slower run i beat a 2002 Camaro SS when he missed a shift, boy howdy was he ticked off. :pp

Heck yeah. As this announcer said when I attended a national event for Pro-Mods he was pronounced dead at the line hahahaha. My best run the whole weekend was a 14.07 at 102. Gonna take the Slobalt to Cecil County soon and shoot for my 13 second pass.
