Springs for 69 GS400

My next project is going to be rebuilding the stock suspension on my 1969 GS400 and adding a front disc brake kit. I already have everything except new springs and rear bushings. The original springs on it now are pretty shot and should be replaced. I like how it sits though.

Any one have any side-shot pictures of their 68-69 cars with new stock height, 1" lowering, and 2" lowering springs. Preferably with the stock Buick rally wheels. Let me know what springs you used too.

    Rich,

I would suggest getting everything rebuilt and install the original springs. Usually the worn bushings are the cause. My 69 still has the original front springs and has 200K on them.
My rear springs came from https://www.springsnthings.com/ . Their springs are made to original GM specs.
They were able to work with my needs and were willing to exchange springs if needed.

    Thanks for the response Dave!

I was thinking about just reusing the stock springs in the rebuild, but thought if I could get a new set for a couple hundred bucks, it would be worth it to go ahead and replace them too. I sent a request to Springsnthings for a quote on a 2" lowering set (front & rear). Thanks for the link, too.

So far, I found a pretty good deal on the BMR set, for $187. The UMI kit runs about $300, no matter where you get them from. Hopefully I can get some feedback on these spring sets, too.
