Anyone selling anything to Spencer England in Gary,IN. needs to get the money first. I sold him a 5/8" pickup tube that was new and never used for $45.00 plus shipping. He was in a hurry to get it to his builder so he could finish his engine so I shipped it directly to his builder with his word he'd put a check in the mail. It's been 4 weeks now since I received notification the package was delivered at the builders location and I have received no check from him ! I've only called him 2 times trying not to be a pest to find out what the problem is and he won't answer his phone. I have left voice mail messages to contact me and he hasn't had the common courtesy to call me back and let me know what the problem is, lost my address , moneys tight now ,anything to let me know he just isn't ripping me off. I'm old school and like to think a mans word is good but it looks like I was wrong about this one. Get your money first. Roger
He had a thread on the parts wanted section so I guess he's a member. His builder is Jim Burek. If things with Jim haven't changed Spencer may get the what goes around comes around routine. I haven't been able to get anyone to answer the phone at Jim Burek's either. Roger
That's just after the pickup tube got to Texas. I'll call again in a week and hope for the best. If he makes good on the debt I'll be the first to let you all know. Roger
Sorry to hear and thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it turns out to be a non issue. Bought a short block from Jim B and it did not turn out to well. PS / Manistique Mi. brings back some great racing memories!
I bought a Hood Tach from Spencer England over two months ago and still waiting for him to ship it. He is not a very good seller either.
