    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

Very easy to do with common tools.

Use a chisel and crush the bushing inwards. Spray some PB Blaster on the interface and let soak a bit. Use a dull chisel and tap on the bushing flange and it will come out. To install, go to Autozone and use their large balljoint press (oversize C-clamp) and it will install the bushings easily. No need to buy a special tool if you are only going to do this once or twice.

TexasT Texas, where are you from

    I used a Ball Pein

Hammer. to get them out. A couple of good swings and they're out. Install your on your own, but the ball joint press sounds like a good idea.

You want to be careful with the big hammer, because it is possible to break the ear off the rear end with a bad hit. Unlikely, but possible. I usually just use the chisel method to smash the shell inward. A few hits will quickly loosen the hold the bushing has on the rear. Then you can wack it out of the rear easily. Putting them back in is far easier. A little grease and a little whack or two or ten will get them back in. Good luck. Rudy E.
