They are fine if you just want a street strip ground pounder posi unit and you like the ratio you have in the car but it is only one wheel peel.
YOU MUST install them correctly. Just follow the instructions...The center split gap measurement is critial to correct function. As long as that is done they are very strong and will deliver 2 wheel peel happiness.
Remember they will click in turns this is normal. IF IT BANGS in turns you installed it wrong! Get in there and correct the gap fast.
I have the lockers on the shelf for the 8.5 corp rears.
if you have a 68-70 rear you are not going to be able to use the lockers if you have a 64-67 10 bolt 8.2 you will have to buy the expensive NO SLIP lockers which we think are spring loaded too tight...we always need to modify the springs in the unit to make it smoother in turns.

    Good luck.

Its a new one. Was going to put it in my daily driver and keep the highway gears. But now Im moving in november to the city, very close to the drag strip. Im thinking I want 3.73s which will require a ring gear spacer. Might as well do it all at once. Raise the stall as well and make it more of a street/strip car..

These units are fine I have installed many of them... the click is minimal... like tapping to box end wrenches together. Just have to install the units CORRECTLY.
Now the NO SLIP is another story. We have had some noise issues and binding with them. The springs are too tight in that unit. We have to usually modify the spring to lesson the pressure and bench test them before we sell the unit in a rear.
I called and talked with there techs...They think there is nothing wrong with the units. I DISAGREE. told them how to fix the issues...They do not care.
