This may have been covered before but, is there a prefered way to restrict oil to the top end? The solid lifters have a smaller oil hole in them than hydraulic lifters. Is this enough? Is the only other way to restrict the hole in the push tubes? What size hole? I just wan't to keep as much oil down at the rods and mains as possible and minimize aeration of the oil. This engine sees extended time up to 6500rpm, not 1/4 mile bursts. TA roller rockers up top.
I've used edge orifice solid lifters from Crower. They will reduce oil to the rockers by 60% or so. They also oil the lobe directly, aka "Cool Face". They are killer but carry a killer price around $300. Oh ya, you can use them on multiple cams without breakin. The metal is so hard they will never cup.
