sliderail for boot

    the rail on back of the backseat wher your boot slides in2 has sum issues.its not kinked but hasnt ben used in who knows how long??? its geting sum rust & my boot wouldnt slide thru.i tried useing silicone spray & workn the boot back n 4th.it only ever made it half way on but then i stoped when i had noticed it TORE A LIL HOLE IN IT.....sorry dnt knw what hapnd ther:puzzled: any how what can i do,use or try so that this NEVER happens again???

    Buy a new slide rail...you can get them new from Parts Place.

    Take a nail with a large head and grind flats on both sides opposite each other. Slide the rounded ends into the track and slide it back and forth until the rust is removed. When you get it cleaned out spray in some silicone lubricant periodically to keep it rustfree.

    hey guys thanks alot.ill try pounding the nail down 1st (fix b4 spend if posbl) otherwise ill see if opg mght hav one.they had the lables 4 my bug wash bottle that i was needing.thanks again.
