On one ocassion I had a motorcyclist riding in the diamond lane next to me while I drove in the left lane. Whenever it looked like I would be able to get in front of him and pass the slower driving guy in front of me, he sped up and matched that guy's speed.
Finally after him repeatedly doing this, the right moment came and I jumped on it and got in front of him before he could speed up enough to block me out. He too gave me the finger.
I just don't get some people. Good kill.

If you research further into that bike video, before the filming started, the biker supposedly has a chain and slamed it on the guys hood.(from what the camera man commented) and you can see the chain in his hand in the video, best to look for the real sound video and not the music overlaid one.

But we still don't really know what started the whole incident.

I've had a motorcylce license for 40 years.
I taught motorcycle drivers education for two years.

One time while waiting for a tractor trailer to back into a parking lot I had a guy behind me decide he wasn't waiting and squeezed his car between me on my FLH and a parked car to get through. He sideswiped my knee, tore my jeans and kept going. I chased him down, tore off his outside mirror with my fist and broke his power antenna when he stopped at a red light. He took off through the light and I let him (I had his license number). I went to the police, reported a hit and run and the vandalism I did to his car. Cops charged him with hit and run but never charged me with vandalism. I don't know if he would not file charges or the cops just swept it under the rug.

Now anyone video recording the incident at the red light would have thought me to be completely nuts.

I have my motorcycle's license as well, and I went through the safety course some years ago. I'm just gonna say, bikers arent always innocent, not knowing what sparked the guy to throw the chain down on the guys hood.....its hard to make a judgement on who's wrong. and if that biker was smart he wouldn't have been following that car so close, as you can see he still has the chain in his right hand while riding, not sure what his intentions where there.....plus harder to control the bike when you have one of your hands occupied.

In my opinion, there both acting like idiots....there lucky there was no cops around b/c my guess would be they both would have been booked....

I would bet that he would have been just as good of a sport if he were a winner. Probably worse.

This reminds me of the time this 18 yr old numbnut with a highly customized(bling, not power) 99 V6 silverado gave my '02 regal a dirty look because his bass was obnoxiously loud and I could barely hear my radio, so I turned mine up (I had a much more powerful system than him, I just didnt crank it all the time) and my solobaric 15"s drowned his out. He proceeded to launch all hard when the light went green, and I heard his exhaust (glasspacks on a sixbanger with a nasty set of tips), and laughing with my friends at his pitiful display (there were 3 of us in my car, a good 500 or more lbs combined at the time) and I punched it when he he was about 4 cars or so ahead, and just reeled him in, then I let off the gas so he could see us laughing at him, he punched it again, and I was right behind him and walked him, I let off when I'm well ahead of him (atleast an 1/8th of a mile) and coast back down to the speed limit, and shortly after that he flies by at im guessing 70 mph flipping me the bird. I always grin when I think of that. When a dirt bag flips me off, I just laugh at him, that really pisses them off.

As for that video, from what I see, that dirtbag on the bike was being the antagonist, getting in that guys face (I'd shove his ass too), and then pulling a chain out like coward (he's lucky it wasnt me, I'd probably have killed him for threatening me with a weapon, I don't play around with weapons or threats in general), and then proceeds to take his sweet time getting on his bike and so the other guy can go. Personally, I'd have called the cops and had that guy pay for a new bumper and painting just to rub it in that much more. I say it's your own fault for following too closely, a brake check won't work if you follow at the legal distance, which is exactly what the cops told the guy who rearended my regal when I brake checked him for riding so close I couldnt see anything but his headlights in my mirror (this is a lifted chevy tahoe) for 1/4 of a mile. His insurance gave me 8 grand for my regal, and Im sure my regal was worth less than half that, and he got a ticket for following too close.

That said, that road rage video seems kind of mild compared to some of my bad days when some inconsiderate driver cut me off and 2 minutes later they are riding in the median because I brake checked em, or the person who tailgated me so I threw a lit cigarette in their sun roof and spit on their windshield when we hit a traffic jam and I told them to get off my ass or get out of their car.

Good kill btw, a well driven crotch rocket is a feat, IMO.

Hahahaha damn Kris. I thought I was angry. I have brake checked a few people.....but my daily driver is made of fiberglass (2003 saturn l200) so i'm only doing that to smart cars. What I've found out really pisses people off is running your window wiper fluid and letting it splash on their window. Really ticks tailgaters off and also lets them know to back off. Most fun is doing that to a biker who's tailgating and watch him lose his mind!

I'm often reminded of the two rice-bikers who were doing that in Dallas traffic and went blasting past - but it's ok, we got to pass them about a mile later as the paramedics were peeling their remains out from under the backside of an 18-wheeler. Yuck.

A biker will always lose in a road rage war...if I see an overly emotional idiot in a car getting agitated with me while I'm minding my business on my bike I make it my business to get away from them as quickly as possible...whether it means pulling over and letting them pass...(giving the idiot their meaningless victory in their minds) or losing them in traffic.

There have been a few times that some idiot has almost reeled me into their stupid little road war...I have often wanted to stop at the next red light and calmly walk over to their car to shoot their !@$%$ tires out!!:blast:

Believe it or not some people out there just really have it out for bikers...I've witnessed it myself. I don't think they take into consideration how vulnerable a rider is...doesn't take much to die on a bike!
