I am going to the salvage yard now and I will check out the mirror from a 70 Electra conv. Will let you know what I find.
Dear kia, I have an NOS in the box RH mirror for 1971-73 Oldsmobile that I will sell for $100. It is exactly the same as a Buick mirror except the length of the base of the mirror which mounts to the door is 1/8 inch longer than the Buick mirror. The mirror I have includes the plastic gasket that goes between the mirror base and the door, so nobody would ever know the difference. Let me know if you are interested. Jim
I'm sorry, but I don't have a digital camera to send a picture via computer. The RH mirror looks exactly like the one used by Buick. I have three '72 and '73 Rivieras and Electra, and each has the RH mirror. I've compared the Olds mirror to the Buick ones, and you cannot see a difference. The only difference is the length of the base which mounts to the door. It is 1/8 inch larger on the Olds mirror, which requires a different, larger plastic gasket, or pad between the door and the mirror. The NOS Olds mirror I have has the gasket for both Toronado and 98 and 88 models, plus instruction sheet and templates for drilling the holes in your door. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!
