I've alway's wanted a lift.............. but I have 8' ceilings and planned on building the ceiling height to get a full size twin post so I could do everything I wanted......trannies...... exhaust etc.

This last winter I got tired of waiting and bought a Mowhawk 48" scissor lift.

Man that thing is handy.........I put the '64 on it for it's bring out of storage / prep for Morroco fest.

Sure was nice to swap tires standing up....change oil, rear u joint and do a general inspection while sitting upright on a milk crate.

Adjust the height so I could replace the leaky heater core, bla bla bla.

It's somewhat portable and very stable too.

It doesn't do everything I want.....and the twin post is still going to happen......But man I should have bought a scissor lift a decade ago.

    Mike Wowk Who freakin' cares?

I thought for sure when I read the Thread Topic that ol' Brian had finally come out of the closet to confess his love for Casey:puzzled: But hey a garage lift is a good thing too:beer

    Oh yeah?

I bet you can't replace a leaky Cutlass heater core on that lift in your garage in under 2 hours. I'll supply the Lite. :beer

Wait a minute. May be cheaper at a dealer. Let me get back to you on that one. :pp

If you don't mind my asking, how much was the lift and where did you get it from?
