Shifter locked up

    On my 70 gs 4-speed, went to go into reverse, shifter seems locked up, car is in 1st gear I think. Any suggestions on how to get out of this situation or what to look for?

    Get under the car and put the trans into the neutral. then it shold be lined up again. (block the wheels so it dont roll)

    While you are under there, may want to check gate alignment as well as bushing play. Don't want to have a 2 - 3 mishap.
