Thinking about how this might be accomplished with a 455. I like the tunability and reliability of the FI set up. Any suggestions on which specific intake to have modified for this?
I'm thinking to go with the Accel computer etc. Did Buick ever do a comp controlled ignition? I'd like to have that controlled by the FI set up too.

    Thanks guys

TA can offer their intake manifold with injectors, fuel rails, etc., to do an FI setup.

If you have an existing SP-1, you can have that converted as well.

I use the FAST (the old SpeedPro/Felpro design) computer, which is a bank-to-bank setup (not sequential), and it works very well. I would highly recommend it.

You can use a variety of distributors- there is one made by MSD that comes most highly recommended. But all you really need is a distributor with a pickup, rotor and cap. All of the advance mechanisms (centrifugal and vacuum) get locked out. I started out with an HEI distributor, but the coil generated electrical interference to the pickup, so I had to switch to an external coil HEI (and eventually switched to an Accel distributor but I like the MSD better).

Thanks Bob. I have been looking for progress per the TA website on their FI set up. I know those guys are pretty busy but the last time the FI page was updated was about a year ago. It still said the system was "Under Development" and news would be forthcoming.

Is it an actual package they have available now? Any ideas on pricing?

    Thanks
