    Hello!
    Working on a 73 centurion convertible:3gears:.
I just went to the local library and checked out a service manual from haynes for gm full size vehicles 70-90.
    No coverage for the centurion.
Could anyone give me a part number for a decent repair manual with vehicle specs?
    Thanks.

Haynes or (worse) Chilton manuals are too generic to be of detailed value.

If you can find info/data in them for a LeSabre, it'll be the same as for a Centurion except for trim and other details. Centurion's were up-level LeSabres, mechanically the same as 455-powered LeSabres.

Best bet is to get a '73 Buick Chassis Manual (usually $30-75), it'll tell you everything mechanical there is to know regarding descriptions and repairs. If you're working on the body or top, look for a Fisher Body Manual (usually $15-25), it covers that info.

You can get both on a cd from several places online, ebay for one. Look for "Detriot Iron", I've got one of their cd's, it's got both the Chassis and Body Manuals, plus sales info and other odds and ends. I think they run $45-50.

Do the e-bay search. I also own a restored 73 Centurion 455 convert. look for these books:

1973 Buick Chassis Servive Manual (thick blue book)
1973 Fisher Body Service Manual (dark orange book)
Buick Chassis and Body Illustration Catalog Models thru 1975
Convertible Top Giude 2 Got this from Hydro-E-Letric 800-343-4261. They have a slew of parts for the sizzer tops

Lastly stick with the Centurion site. Seen you on over there, it will be your home away from home, tons of Centurion info and help
