SEON Mobile video surveillance equipment

I was just at a local school district auction, and I bought a bunch of SEON brand mobile surveillance camera's and DVR's.
These are the cameras and recording systems school buses use to record passengers, and cops use on their dash to record pullovers.

I have about 25-30 boxes, each box has one camera, one DVR, a wiring harness used for installation, and a black lockbox for each DVR. I have a key to open the lockboxes myself, and i'll ship them unlocked, however if you want your own key you'll have to get one made. I had one made here for 2$.

The DVR's are the older style using a VHS tape recording system. Each one includes a brand new remote.
The cameras all have a built in microphone, and switch to black and white recording when in low light situations.
I have two different types of cameras, one is the wedge-style in the stainless steel case, the other are the round blue dome style. I also have one clear dome camera, and one black colored instead of blue.

These would be great for security on your own car, or even to use as a home, garage, or shop security system. I'll be installing one in my garage as a security system shortly.

I'm going to ask 100$ plus shipping for one DVR, wiring harness, lockbox, remote, and blue dome camera.
115$ plus shipping for one DVR, wiring harness, lockbox, remote, and stainless steel wedge camera.

I also have 5 black plastic lock boxes with mounting feet and a one-way mirror on the outside, used to install a camera inside. I have keys for each of these. 15$ each

    I'm located in Billings, MT
Any questions please feel free to ask here or PM me, and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge. I will consider selling multiple cameras with one DVR or vice versa

Can you tell me how the recorder is activated? Is it motion activated or does it have to be turned on by the remote?
    Thanks,
    Allen

    Allen,
It can be turned on by the remote or on the DVR, or by leaving the record button on and just turning on, or by putting power to the DVR itself.

    These sound very cool!

Manual for the Seon Scout is here:
    http://www.seon.com/support/service.aspx?sub=14&main=3&text=manuals

It can start recording when car is turned on.
Or will start recording after a preset delay.
Can also continue recording for a preset time after car is turned off.
Can even be programmed to start/stop at preset times!

VHS tape models will record for 3 hrs in SP or 9 hrs in EP mode. Can be set to automatically rewind and continue recording after tape ends.

Lots of possibilities for one of these...
    On the road videos.
Monitor gauges during a 1/4 mile pass, or mount camera to watch tires, suspension, engine, etc.
A perfect 'parking lot monitor' for a daily driver.
Or as a security system. Needs a 12v power supply. Should be able to use in conjunction with motion detectors, etc, since unit can start recording on power-up.

    PM on the way:grin:
