I need the bracket that mounts right on the selector for the shifter cable, down on the tranny. I have 2 jobs going right now and both are missing the bracket for the cable. I need the one with the eye hole if this makes any sense. If not here's the pix.

I can't believe this! I need the exact same part. I had to file the bracket opening to accept the trunion or whatever it's called. The trunion (I think that's what it's called. The thingy that the shifter cable slips through and tightens to which attaches to the bracket)

If you don't mind, rather than start another identical thread, I would like to piggy back on your request, obviously getting seconds.

I make these but not the one for that end style cable. I may have an idea, I will go up front and look at another year stuff thru the GM parts counter. Will let you know soon...

    Jarrod,

What year car are you putting that cable on? It's not correct for 70-72.

You are correct Matt I'm doing a change over for a friend of mine and he brought me all these parts and told him they were not for this car but he didn't care, he just wanted it done so i'm searching for this bracket, actually 2 of them. If you have the correct one for a 70-72 let me know and I could use one of those too.Total of 3 brackets.

I know what will work and I have used them on my Olds Cutlass models.

Hmmmmmm, guess you want to know which one?????????????????

I believe all 73-77 GP cars had this set-up. Local yard has a couple of them in it. Do you want me to get you some? Please email me directly. GStage1@buickperformance.com

This will be the shift input bracket with mounting stud/stem.

I need your reply no later than 11 pm Eastern on Friday.

OPG and the Parts Place both offer supposedly correct reproductions of the shifter cable. One wants $37.00 and the other wants $56.00.

The 72 Riviera, and possibly later Rivs used a cable like that. Does this picture help?
