Marc; Id buy a new one, that they recommend for the scattershield. I installed a scattershield and a used pivot from a muncie bell, and there were some spacing issues. The regular pivot was only threaded so far, so we had to get a new one that was threaded all the way to make it work. The fork SHOULD work, but like i said id just get new stuff, its not that expensive.
Thanks azeem for the reply, what do you think about it, its sure safer to use a scatter shield, but its always about the wallet....$$$$$ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJtJUVyEyYY http://www.quicktimeinc.com/products.html#olds Look at the quicktime, they offer a scatter shield that is BOP to LS1 T56!
Unless your whipping that 455 to 7,000 RPM and side stepping the clutch, or flogging it weekly at the track, its really overkill.
i like the SFI bells because of the ease of installation. I think theres like a 3 page document on clearances and things to check when you install the regular bell, but the SFI unit is just clean and install.
