  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

The Black Cloud is here again.

Yesterday I was going to finally transfer the title for my 65 into my name. Well I went to all the local currency exchanges last night and they were all closed. So I forgot to take the title out of my shorts last night. This morning I was washing the 65 so I could go to a local show after I transferred the title. While I was doing that the wife grabbed the shorts and threw them in the washer. The title disintigrated in the washer. The bad part is that the title was not in my name the good part is that I still have a bill of sale and the old owners name. I just don't know what it will take to get a new title in Illinois. It will definately give me something to do this winter. I said to the wife it may just become a parts car.

What the heck threw some of my 64 in there as well.

I would hate to part this one out.

you can apply for a storage/mechanics lean on the title then you can request the state issue you a title for the costs of the storage. there are some companys that can do this for you but you will need the police to come out and inspect car for being stolen/having stolen parts on it
you could also try broadway title online if they are still in business
they can get it with a bill of sale
depending of last owner you could try to apply for lost title as long as last owner will work with you and the bill of sale
    dont give up to easy
looks just like my 65 special

It's an easy fix, get the forms from the DMV for the previous owner to fill out. The DMV will know which forms you need. I lived in Chicago for 30 yrs and have been through that situation myself. So, no worries if you know where the old owner is.

I had to do a trace of tags and I can't remember what else I needed to do but it wasn't to difficult in N.Y.
