The spreadbore holleys are mechanical secondaries are they not? The one I had was,..I have two of the 800cfm version,...they are a pain in the ass to bolt on,... Does TA have any SP3's available? I wouldn't waste the money on the dual plane intake I would use a stock one or the Sp3 with a 750DP Holley
I think if you plan on staying under 6 grand with the motor the single plane will work ok. Seems the census is if you put the SP3 on you better be prepared to use a double pumper since it seems to me that anything that has a air valve or a vac canister or any of those just does not seem to work well with the SP3 The pump shot seems to not be enough when you mash it down. Now I guess if you had 430 gears the carb probably would't give a crap about pump shot since it would be at 4 grand right about now. hey now
Get that iron 4bbl manifold from Ethan, even if you pay $75- 100 for shipping. Try your freebie carb, if it's a dud, trade it or sell it off and get a 750 cfm qjet or holley.
