hello, yesterday i put on a rebuilt carb and can't get it to run. its a 300 with a 2GC. i can barely keep it running with my foot on the gas. it has a severe backfire from the passenger side exhaust to the point i'm afraid it will damage the exhaust. it had run, started and idled ok before the rebuild and nothing had been changed since then. is it a possible float adjustment could cause this? i adjusted the screw slightly but it made no difference. thank you for any help, john
