Was cruising down the freeway on my way back home in my Riv this morning. A Hyundai Tiburon with "V6" stickers all over it, and a weedeater exhaust comes up along the side of me with his girlfriend in the passenger seat. They were laughing and pointing at my Riviera. I eased into the gas at about 50mph and started to just creep ahead of him. Then I hear this "pop-WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!" noise. He obviously tryed to floor the car. So much noise and he was barely picking up speed. I put the gas pedal all the way down and watched him get really small in my rear-view mirror. I only went up to about 80mph in a 70mph zone. I slowed back down and let him catch up and he does the infamous "fly-by" where he speeds past me like he just now beat me or something. As he was passing me, his girlfriend was giving me a thumbsup. :TU: I guess he thought he had a fast car until a 39yr old car had to show him what one really looked like. :3gears:

Way to go, Brian! :TU: Take the stupid ricer to Buick school........I'll bet he'll think twice before doing something like that again. It's obvoius he's never been in a Riviera!

I thought it was real funny that his girlfriend gave me the thumbsup as they passed by. I should have caught back up with them and asked her if she wanted to ride in a real car... :3gears:

Back when I had my chevy powered samurai, some ricer in a prelude kept reving up. I pulled the front wheels off the ground leaving a stop light and he never made it out of first gear.

When you get far enough ahead of him and you see one of them doing the flyby, you gotta get on the brakes so they know you're slowing down. Makes their ricer flyby mean so much less.

Yea, that or get back on the throttle and do not give him a chance to do a fly-by....

Update. Ricer from the Tiburon was with another guy in a riced out civic today. It was 2-tone baby blue dripping down on white. I was at the light heading one way, and him and his friend were turning the corner going the other way laughing and pointing as they farted on by... I should have hunted them down, but traffic was heavy and I love my car, and do not want to endanger others... Maybe ill catch them on an empty street one day just like the tiburon :3gears:
