  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Ricer Gets Beat...Again

My Dad really doesn't race his Buick but when he gets behind some snail old drivers he'll turn on the gas and go. So one late night we get behind an old guy. He turns it on and flies by it to the next light. It just turned red and next to us is a Honda Civic with straw exhaust. It is supposedly the fastest one in town as said by my friends. We both look over and the kid in the car revs the engine at us. My Dad started laughing and the kid said "What do you got in there old man?" My Dad revs the engine back at the kid and you could see the fear go on his face. But he was already too far in too back down. So my Dad told me to count to five when the light turns green. The light turned green and the Ricer leaves the light. I started counting and at three my Dad told me to hang on. Two seconds later he stood on the gas and left hard after the Ricer. It was only a matter of seconds before the ricer was a few car lengths behind us. Around the end I looked at the Scanmaster. It read 115 MPH when we put the brakes on and the stretch was about a 1/4 mile long. Then at the Buick Day we have in Canada the Ricer was there. He said he was thinking about getting a GN and wanted to know if my Dad would give him a few pointers on how to get it as fast as my Dads. It's just another event of the Ricers getting killed by the real cars!
