Does anyone have any experience in finding a Rev Limiter that works with a Stinger S-4 ignition system? The only one that I know works without issue is the old Mallory #644 (no longer made and not available) as I have had one of them on my GS Stage 1 for over 25 years.

Had a Mallory tach with rev limiter and shift light knobs on the dial face in the early eighty's that worked well. It was the Hayes version of the later Stinger S-4 I bought from Jim Bell if I remember correctly.

Do you know anyone that has used the MSD 8728 with the Stinger S-4 ignition? Curious to know if the 8728 caused any ignition interference like erratic idle, missing or erratic tach readings.

Contact amount Mike Pesarchick (No Lift). I think he uses an MSD with the S-4.

I borrowed an MSD 8728 from my buddy today and hooked it up on my Stage 1 with the Stinger S-4 and it works.. Tested it with a 3000 and a 4000 rpm module chip and the MSD started limiting the rpm at approximately 2985 rpm and 3985 rpm.. No issues with erratic tach or missfires or ignition problems.. Both the green and white wire from the MSD (not purple wire) attached to the coil - and the red wire from MSD to Coil +. works great.
