I asked Robin about trim and this was his answer.. Hey Jesse, Hope you're doing well. My apologies for the long reply time, it was a busy weekend. I was helping the in laws put a roof on. Unfortunately, we're not setup to make the wheel moldings for a couple of reasons. We'd need a laser cutter to get the nice edge required, and what I've got now is a cnc plasma cutter. It's great for doing body panels which are going to be welded in, ground and then receive a top coat, but it would leave an edge that would require a lot of polishing . That's doable, but the bigger problem is that we put the curves in using a jaw shrinker / stretcher. It leaves little tiny ridges. Again, not a problem for something which is going to get finished and painted, but it wouldn't look good on a stand alone piece. It think that would be a part that needs to be stamped. Thanks for thinking of us, though, and I hope next time I can actually make the part you need. Cheers, Robin hopes this helps..
contact him first via email so he can tell you exactly what to send Robin Wilkinson -robin@alfaparts.net
I'm sure they could do patch panels for the inners, but to make a complete wheelwell, it would have to be stamped/formed with very expensive equipment.... which they don't have. Patches for the rad support would be feasible, but they'll fit '66 only. I could sure use some!
he is willing to make patches for anything, just make sure you dont just send it before you talk to him, he is a awesome person to talk with and wants to help us make our cars what we want..
Hi all, I'm Robin, and I'm heading up Wolf Steel AKA Alphaparts now. I'm not sure what your policy on Vendors posting about their products, so if I'm breaking any rules just let me know. Jess suggested I stop by and say "Hello", so here's me saying hi. Things are different here now from a management standpoint. I hope we can get a second chance with you guys. We've got a few parts for the Skylark now, but we're always looking to make more. Someone from NY just sent a front fender section and that will soon be available. We're looking for patterns for front quarter repair sections, rockers and possibly floors. If you guys and girls have any suggestions, I'm all ears. Because everything we do here is hand made, we can't make everything for the car. Inner wheel wells, for example are just too much work to be able to make and sell at a reasonable price. In any case I hope you will give us another shot to earn your trust and respect. Hopefully, we can work together to make more parts available for these great old cars. Thanks for reading, Robin
