Hi All! I am moving in the coming months and I am looking at having two of my classics shipped. I've been looking into different auto transport companies and was curious if anyone here had used one they would recommend. I understand most of the websites out there are actually brokers and not the shipper but I have found a couple that are the actually transport company. The difference in quotes and reviews is enough to make your head spin. Who have you used? Who should be avoided? Any help y'all can provide would be awesome! I should mention I did reach out to Bill here on V8 forum as he seems to come highly regarded, but in case he's unavailable I'd like to here what you all have experienced. Thank you!
About 6 months ago I used Uber Haul Transport a Broker to transport my GS455 and she selected DK Express from all the bids she got. She did a thorough job of shopping prices, checking the carriers ratings, insurance certificates, and both she and the carrier communicated with me all the way from Minnesota to Central Florida. I was very happy. Uber Haul Transport - Christina, Broker 480-580-7368 DK Express Inc. 172 Prospect St Chicopee, MA 01013 MC Number: 791836 Contact: Ludmila Phone: (413) 244-5878 Phone 2: (413) 244-5878
I and several other friends and v8buick members have probably used Cristina at Uber Haul 20+ times, I would definitely recommend her, for a broker she is pretty good.
I used ShipLux to deliver my last car from Florida to here in Montana. They are a broker, but the communication and ease for me was amazing. When you call, you get the owner, and if for some reason he didn't pick up the phone, I'd leave a message and he'd call me back within 15 minutes. They also showed up about 5 days early.
I’ve used Christina at Uberhaul several times, always with great success. She really got me a great price and nice enclosed haul.
I recently had a car delivered from SW AZ to SE MN through Road Runner Auto Transport - the whole ordeal was absolutely seamless with them. At first I got a quote with Easy Auto Ship, waited a good 1.5 - 2 weeks, but they hadn't found a driver. I was a bit under a time crunch because the seller of the car I bought was moving! I called up Road Runner and that day confirmed an enclosed single-vehicle trailer to pick up in two days. Wouldn't you know within 30 minutes of confirming that bid with Road Runner, Easy Auto Ship called me back saying they had a driver... Next time I find myself needing something similar, Road Runner will be my first call - but this is great to see what everyone else used.
