I decided to replace, rather than try to repair the old wiring harnesses in my conv. project. I used American Auto wire, and am glad I did. They appear to use factory blueprints, and all wires ar correct in length and color coding. It cost a pretty penny, but is worth it! I don't have to sweat through another repair of 40 years' worth of billy-bob's electrical splices. Even the starter wires had the correct cloth tar tube. I wonder if they are the source for Year One, etc...

Agreed, I used their engine harness and it was excellent. M&H also sells harnesses. Parts place uses American Autowire, YO uses M&H I beleive. Good to have, old crappy wiring can be a hazard.

They have good stuff. The only issues I have had with the engine harness was at the fuse box junction was all the brown sticky stuff. I just bought a can of black Plastic Coat and gooped it on the plastic to give it a rubbery coating like the original. Also on the forward lamp harness the headlight connectors are clear plastic instead of the original brown but they are easy enough to change with a small screwdriver popping them off.
