Has anyone tried these yet?? Its the arm that screws to the w/s header and sunvisor rotates in it along with plastic bushing. Discovered tonight one of mine has a small crack and it probably won't get better.

Just wondering if they are decent or not...

    Tim,
I just bought a pair for my '71. Found them pretty cheap & Y-1 sent me another pair.
Second pair was no cost to me, just the $38.53 brokerage fees from the courier. Loved that part. Second set about the same as the pass. side won't keep from rotating. It turns on an vertical axis. From what I've been able to figure they are both made like a RH version. The stop is perfect on the driver's side. Mount the same one on pass. side & you need to rotate it past the stop to sit right with the windshield.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

I have used them for coupes with no problems.
Once they crack like yours....no way to fix em....just replace em.

Thanks guys, guess I'll find out, local shop is bringing them in. For now, the screw holds the piece tight enough to make the sunvisor tight (legendary sunvisors seem kinda wimpy too!)...LOL I have sunvisors!!...exciting stuff!! :TU:

Well they showed up and they are pretty nice pieces, really. Guy at local shop said he had installed a few and depending on car might need to trim retaining washer on top of spring as its quite large. Looking at originals which just barely cover end of tension spring, the size of the repro is obvious.

And yup didn't fit quite right, but quick trim with die grinder fixed that right up.

Also noticed the spring is higher, yet washer will move down and they could have staked it lower for more tension (and still can in future if needed)

They are in and look nice. Function well too, fairly stiff but smooth.
